FAQ #8: What Happens After a DUI?

If you've been arrested for a DUI, my first recommendation is to go home, gather yourself. Nothing is going to happen in 24 hours that we can't take care of. The first step you're going to do is you're going to contact me, and I'm going to contact the DMV. I'm going to put a stay on any suspension on your license, and I'm going to tell them we want to fight your DMV hearing.

Now, we've got some time. We can breathe. We can attack it peacefully. Chances are, you have two months, roughly, until your first court appearance comes up on your citation. During that time, we can talk to you, we can visit the scene, we can get the blood results, we can get the police reports from the DMV, we can get prepared for court.

We have those answers. We have that information. Call us and we can help you. We can get you through this peacefully.
